Process Outline (from a typical project)

A potential client contacts Netsight to discuss a project. They talk to an experienced project manager who will be able to quickly assess the scope of the project. Within 24 hours they are given a 'ballpark' price and timescale for various levels of development.

The client finalises their budget and brief, and requests a requirements analysis.

Netsight project managers and analysts meet with the client, and perform an initial requirements analysis. Two days later, the client receives a preliminary estimate of cost and timescale. If necessary, Netsight will prepare cost estimates on a modular basis to allow the client to decide what needs to be done, and what needs to be deferred.

The clients approve the estimate, and our technical and design teams prepare a technical requirements specification which outlines the functionality required in the final site, and will be used at the acceptance stage. This document is agreed by Netsight and the client and a final price set.

The client deposits a proforma fee of 30%, and the project commences.

Our design team produces a series of alternative visual designs and layouts for consideration, and offer advice based on their experience as to what will work and what will not. At the same time, our technical team will be working on the underlying functionality of the site. Netsight use a rapid prototyping method of development, which results in a simple system being put in place early and refined in many stages over the course of the project. At every stage the client can view the site in development. (Some design houses will simply deliver a finished project with no interim consultation, which can lead to anunsatisfactory result.)

Testing is carried out over the course of the project, and because of the continual client consultation the acceptance phase of the project is straightforward. Netsight also provide the necessary integration services for the site handover, including on-site training if required.
