Netsight Works With Schlumberger on New Industry Portal
A new portal site for the Heavy Oil Industry, based on Plone and featuring a fully integrated forum, has completed its first phase of development. Netsight have been responsible for all technical aspects of the build, integration and hosting infrastructure.
The project is part of a series of online initiatives that Schlumberger are investigating with Netsight, to help ensure that they remain the principle focal point and enabler for the Heavy Oil Industry.
Schlumberger is the leading oilfield services provider for oil and gas companies around the world. Through their well site operations and research and engineering facilities, Schlumberger develop products, services and solutions that optimise oilfield performance in a safe and environmentally sound manner. The company employs over 64,000 people of more than 140 nationalities working in 80 countries. Operating revenue for FY2005 was $14.31 billion.
