- Repository for all documents that are publicly available under the classes of an approved publication scheme for the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
- Metadata based on relevant parts of the e-Government Metadata Framework (e-GMF).
- Adherence to the e-Government Interoperability Framework (e-GIF).
- Workflow system allowing users to submit new content (or resubmit edited content) to reviewers for approval.
- Integral to the content management system for the public websites.
- Email warnings of expiring/expired documents and pages.
- Automatic detection and notification of 'dead' links.
- Existing designs for public websites re-engineered using cross-platform CSS, or re-designed from scratch.
- Strict adherence to codes of practice for online accessibility. WAI-AAA Compliance for all public interfaces if required.
- Separate site providing 'Portals' for Special Interest Groups.
- Secure hosting and management of servers.
- Backup scheme with full retention of server logs.
- Comprehensive audit trail of all user and visitor activity.
- Developed using the robust and open source Zope and Plone platforms, with custom extensions written by Netsight.
- Whole system tailored to the specific requirements of the project.
